Advancing U.P. Health

AED Campaign

Imagine someone collapsing at a community event. The moments after are critical—each passing second reduces their chances of survival. Did you know that if CPR is started immediately and a defibrillator is used within three minutes, survival rates can reach up to 70%?

But with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) nearby, a bystander could save their life.

At the Superior Health Foundation (SHF), we receive countless grant requests from nonprofits across the Upper Peninsula asking for AEDs. These lifesaving devices save around 1,700 lives annually in the U.S., yet many organizations in our region still can’t afford them.

In 2025, SHF provided 30 AEDs to nonprofits across the U.P.—help us keep this momentum going!

With your support, we will purchase and distribute 30 AEDs to nonprofits that serve our community:

  • Organizations hosting large public events.

  • Facilities used by older adults.

  • Community centers where every second counts.

Every dollar raised stays right here in the U.P. and goes directly toward purchasing this critical equipment.

Your support can save lives. Will you join us?
