U.P. Wide Expansion
Rx Kids is the nation’s first-ever community-wide prenatal and infant cash prescription program. We need your support to bring this program to all pregnant people in the U.P., providing life-changing financial security during pregnancy and throughout the baby’s first six months of life. This period is the most economically vulnerable and developmentally important time in a family and child’s life.
Launched in Flint in January 2024, Rx Kids has expanded this historic, life-changing, community-partnered program with other Michigan communities, including ours. Rx Kids cash prescriptions are delivered during pregnancy and each month for the baby’s first six months, providing financial support during the most economically vulnerable and developmentally important time in a family and child’s life.
Superior Health Foundation is the regional fiduciary for the Rx Kids U.P. expansion and is thrilled to play a critical role in an innovative and impactful program that aligns so closely with our mission, vision and strategic goals.
If you live in Alger, Chippewa, Luce, Mackinac, and Schoolcraft Counties, and you’re pregnant or have a baby under six months old, you’re able to apply for Rx Kids today.
Rx Kids provides $1,500 during pregnancy and $500 a month during the baby’s first six months.
