May 28, 2026 | MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) TV6

Superior Health Foundation CEO Megan Murphy was featured on TV6 Upper Michigan's Source following her appearance at the 2026 Mackinac Policy Conference, where she joined Rx Kids founder Dr. Mona Hanna, W.E. Upjohn Institute President Michael Horrigan, and moderator Nicole Sherard-Freeman, President and CEO of Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, for a panel discussion on Rx Kids health and economic outcomes.

Murphy spoke to the impact of Rx Kids across the Upper Peninsula following the program's expansion to all 15 U.P. counties earlier this year -- and what it means for families in a region where distance shapes every health decision.

"For families in any of these counties, Rx Kids is a real lifeline," Murphy said.

Since expanding U.P.-wide, Rx Kids has provided more than $3 million to over 1,200 enrolled families and supported more than 700 babies born in the region.
