Marquette Police Department receives trauma kits as part of Superior Health Foundation grant

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Superior Health Foundation recently provided the Marquette City Police Department with an equipment grant under its ‘Protecting Our Children’ initiative.

The grant totaled $4,600, and the department now has the resources to equip all 10 of its patrol cars with trauma kits.

“The grant has really been helpful for us; we needed that, and they really stepped up and helped not only us but the community that we serve,” said Ryan Grim, Marquette’s chief of police. “These kits give us the resources that we need to immediately do what we can for that patient until paramedics and firefighters get there and help us out.”
