Marquette, MI – November 6, 2025 – The Superior Health Foundation has opened the call for requests for a pair of their major grant-based funding programs.
Megan Murphy, SHF Chief Executive Officer, and Nicky Bates, SHF Program Officer, spoke about the programs with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Murphy and Bates said the Foundation’s U.P. Health Impact Grants and Equipment Grants are now open for proposals to be submitted for consideration. Bates added that the Foundation is hosting a free webinar on November 20th to go over the grant programs and answer people’s questions.
Murphy also outlined the Foundation allocating $65,000 allocation in rapid response funding to support food pantries and hunger-relief programs across the U.P. Murphy explained that the funding is in response to the delay in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefit distributions, which began on November 1st.
