Cash Aid for UP Moms and Babies Now Available U.P. Wide

Rx Kids — the no-strings-attached cash assistance program for pregnant women and new mothers — has expanded to all 15 Upper Peninsula counties. Eligible families can receive $1,500 mid-pregnancy and $500/month for up to six months after birth.

Superior Health Foundation is proud to serve as the regional fiduciary for this program.

"Every dollar raised through local philanthropy helps to leverage nearly $30 million in state funding over three years for the Upper Peninsula." — Megan Murphy, CEO, Superior Health Foundation

Moms who are at least 16 weeks pregnant or have a baby born March 1 or later are encouraged to apply. The program still needs at least $700,000 in private matching funds to sustain the expansion.
